Dancing Through Life.

Hi, I'm Emily. :) I'm a senior in high school. Dance is my life and passion... I love everything about it and want to continue to be a part of it for the rest of my life. I take classes throughout the week in contemporary, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, pointe, hip-hop, and lyrical, along with being on my studio's company. I'm also help teach kids ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop as an assistant teacher. I jump on every opportunity I'm given as far as conventions, competitions, and master classes go... I want to get as much experience as I possibly can, and feel like those really help one to grow as a dancer. I plan to major in dance in college, and then I'm going to see where life takes me from there and what opportunities arise. :)

Dance is a really exciting journey... With this page, I want to inspire other dancers. I want to be able to give everybody a push to follow their dreams. I'm going to be posting various pictures, videos, and quotes... Pretty much everything on here will be centered around dance, for all of you who are as passionate and love it as much as I do. I'd love to hear from all of you in my ask box as well! It's always fun to meet other dancers. :)

Video of the Day… 2009-2010 Pulse Choreographer’s Pick, Totowa, NJ - “Let Go”

Be you. But be the very best version of yourself. There is no need to be a cookie cutter version of what you think everyone wants you to be. There is a place for you. Somewhere. If you get a correction, say thank you. Don’t talk back, don’t fight it, just fix it, or do your best to try. Anyone who is successful in life knows that great accomplishments require great sacrifice. Do not fabricate or place expectations on anyone but yourself. It will only lead to disappointment. You can only expect the very best from yourself, because you are the only thing you can control. Everyone else is a gamble. Give people love, but do not empty your bank - You have to keep enough love in your own heart to stay full. The people who are worth it will stick around - the people who don’t stick will stick somewhere else, and that is just the way it goes. Choose love. Choose peace. Choose to see the things that you might not like, and try to understand them. Be compassionate towards others. The less you open your heart to others, the more your heart suffers. Be prepared to lose it all. We cannot control anything in this life but what we do with what we have. You will always be able to stand in the middle of the street and give a mean 5,6,7,8. No one can take that away. You might wake up one day and everything will be the same and everything will be different and everything and nothing will make sense. You will be happy and sad. You will be hopeful and hopeless. And that is just the way it is.
